Privacy policy

This policy applies to this website and to MatchaCode products that run locally with your own API key: Matcha CLI, and, when released, the IDE plugin, desktop app, and mobile app.

It does not apply to the model Provider you choose, or to other third-party services you connect yourself.

MatchaCode has no account, no OAuth, and no product cloud.

We provide a local harness, not a model service. MatchaCode itself is free for now, so we do not collect payment data.

We do not collect your repository, session transcripts, or API keys.

We do not run analytics, crash upload, or feedback upload to ourselves. Telemetry is off by default and sends nothing to Jianjiezhiyuan.

This site is a static product page. There is no login and no form.

The hosting provider may keep technical logs such as IP address, browser identifier, time, and URL, to operate and protect the site.

Fonts are self-hosted at build time. Your browser does not request fonts from Google when you visit.

If you email legal@simplify-net.com, we receive the address and content you send.

Sessions, rules, and configuration live on your machine. The default directory is ~/.matcha. MATCHA_HOME can override it.

MatchaCode does not encrypt session files on disk. Anyone who can read that directory can read the transcripts.

API keys prefer the operating system keyring. The file fallback is ~/.matcha/credentials/secrets.json, limited to your user.

Cross-session memory is off by default. If you turn it on, it also stays local.

Local ratings or crash dumps also stay on disk. They are not uploaded to us.

Delete that directory to clear this local data.

You use your own API key. Requests go directly to the Provider you choose: xAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama, or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

A turn may include your prompt, project rules, attached files, conversation history, tool definitions, and tool results such as file contents, diffs, and command output.

MatchaCode does not proxy that traffic or keep a copy on a MatchaCode server. There is no MatchaCode inference cloud.

Those Providers process data under their own privacy policies and may charge for model usage. MatchaCode is not a model vendor.

Keys stay on your device. Login does not open a browser and does not create a MatchaCode account.

A key is sent only to the matching Provider endpoint, in the way that Provider requires.

Jianjiezhiyuan does not receive your keys. Diagnostic output is written to redact secrets.

MCP servers, skills, local plugins, or hooks you configure may send data to those tools, and into the model context.

That sharing happens only after you connect them. This build has no MatchaCode plugin marketplace.

The IDE plugin, desktop app, and mobile app are coming soon. They are not available to download.

When they ship, they are intended to follow the same local runtime and bring-your-own-key practice described here.

If a future surface adds an account, cloud sync, or collection by us, we will update this policy first.

We do not set our own cookies or advertising pixels.

There is no cookie banner, because there is no tracking on this site that requires consent.

MatchaCode is a tool for developers. It is not directed at children under 14.

Because we do not hold copies of your code or sessions, we cannot provide or delete a cloud copy of them.

You can delete local data on your device.

You can ask us to delete mail you sent to legal@simplify-net.com.

For information we do hold, such as email you sent us, contact us to exercise rights the law gives you.

Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
