Matcha CLI · 0.01

First release of Matcha CLI

Released

Matcha CLI is a coding agent in your terminal. It reads the repo, plans the change, edits files, and runs commands — locally.

There is no MatchaCode account and no product cloud. Model requests go to the Provider you choose.

Write

Read files, search the codebase, and edit the repo directly. Changes show up as inline diffs.

Plan

When the path is unclear, read first and propose a plan. /plan enters plan mode. Code waits for your say-so.

Inspect failures

Run commands and tests, inspect the failure output, then keep working from there.

TUI

The working surface is the terminal. Diffs, commands, and the task list live in the same session.

Choose a model

Use /model during a session to switch among models from your Provider. Bring an API key for xAI, OpenAI, or Anthropic, or point at Ollama and other compatible endpoints.

Agent Dashboard

Open the roster with matcha dashboard or /dashboard to view, switch, and dispatch top-level agents.

Rules and tools

Reads AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, and Cursor rules. Connect existing tools through MCP and skills.

Pick up the session

/resume opens a previous session. matcha -c continues the most recent one.
